Well the new ballast came in today. I just watch the video on how to replace and it doesn't seem to bad. As for the shield they are sending me a new one. They said it just might be a bad piece of acrylic. I am not optimistic. But we shall see.

I don't see the need for fish acclimation. As long as salinity is the same and temp is close just switch them and knock out and extra stress. As far as adding stock, as long as you won't have to deal with a cycle I see no problem. Just keep an eye on how much your adding so as to not overload...

Happy to help. ATI actually recommends that setting. It's in the quick start guide that came with the light.

There are 3 plugs for the fixture. 2 for the lamps and the third is for the fans. This plug has a voltage selector.

I was thinking on your noisy fan issue recently. Just curious what voltage you have the fan plug set to. I think ATI recommended 9. If it is higher it's possibly that could be the noise problem. I posted on R2R also and a few people said the had the same issue but not as bad. Other said no...
