My tank is extremely cloudy. I did a 20 gallon water change to see if it could help. No change. Any tips? I only have barely an 1 of sand over my 180. And the bloom seems to have taken hold, around Thursday. I've really haven't touched the tank. So nt sure what could've caused it...
Raise your calcium by doing supplemental manual dosing over a week... again nothing too drastic .... This alone might fix your problem since Alk and Calc compete for space... and will drive each other down.
Test every night, prior to dosing... If you alk is going down fine.. let go...
Don't raise your dosing to compensate for the calcium.. its too low. You want to get to the point where your dosing number are transparent.... by that i mean... no swing... just consistent numbers across the board.
Raise the Calc over the next few days using this calculator...
Just becareful man.. Messing around with dosing. AKA bringing the levels up and then letting them decline to see what consumption is... Led to the ruin of my 120!!!! I subscribe to Paul's method. that has worked very well to date. Set a low dosage and test everyday for a few weeks...
I have the same issue on one of mines that i noticed a few weeks ago. Not sure what is happening to them. Because i know i dont really touch the front of the wet side.
