I calibrated my two dosers for alk and calc simply because I wanted to dose the same amount. Otherwise what you said makes sense. Both of my BRS 1.1ml dosers pump out 2ml/mins. It's good to know the amount which correlates to how much dkh the tank consumes and know how long the dosing container...
I would dose manually until both alk and calf are at the desired level then run the dozers with equal amount. Also, make sure you calibrate the doser as they can be quit off from the specification.
I think I have copepods, isopods and amphipods.

Copepds are tiny. Only visible on the glass. The other two are visible on rocks and sandbed.
Mark - come get some rocks from my tank next time you're close. I will put some pebbles in the sump in case someone needs some. There are different pods. I am not sure if the tiger pods are the same as the pods in my tank and whether they survive in our tanks. I had put a bottle of tiger pods...
I have pods and if you take some sand or rock from my tank you will have them also. Honestly I do not understand why people continue to buy pods. I can see you need an initial population. When I shine a flashlight on the tank at night I see pods all over the place.
I also have a mandarin that...
There is an abundance of calcium in the salt water. If you keep dosing alk alone calcium level will eventually come down. Also doing water changes with a salt like IO will eventually bring the calcium level down to that of the salt mix, which is around 360.
Sunny you might be right. But I looked at it for a while and it doesn’t not look like the Millies I had. The branches are thicker and growth pattern is less table like.
This was sold to me as a rose Mille but as it has grown I think it’s a “spath”, a much rare species in the aquarium. They normally come in as wild colonies with names like “devils finger”, “dragon scale”. Hard to keep I was told but mine is an exception. Most will not realize their true color...
The clam is doing well. It probably reached it's max size, about 3/4". I do not use filter socks so my water has more particles in it than usually. Good idea to get a bottle of phyto for the tank it should be good for the clam and the tank also.
