Carla's home and doing well, thanks. My eye has improved dramatically with the antibiotics, so all good there.
Worried more about Mark and Jackie atm ;)
Well, without having contacted them, I received confirmation today that the order was filled and shipped.
They apologized for the delay in shipping and dropped $10 off the price.
No worries. I'm based in reality.
As many others I grew up on Star Wars. When I was a kid, I saw the original in the theater something like 10 times.
As an adult, I can now afford some things that I like to display on my walls, and that lightsaber is one of them.
Some people hang plates, some...
Pods will eventually show up on their own, but that usually happens in a semi-established system. They are detritus eaters, so its usually beneficial to have fish in the tank before introducing the pods with the exception of wrasse or dragonettes, both of which are pod hunters. Wrasse will eat...
Waited 40 years to see that scene where the special guest star's woop-arse breaks out.
All is justified.
Paulie, perhaps you might like to use my Legacy Series Ventress...
OK, good news.
Carla was tested in hospital and is covid neg.
I did a brain scraper test today and it showed negative.
So, I'll start shipping and arranging pickups as soon as I get the shirts from the printer :)
Well, I got a piece of metal stuck in my eye this morning. Astoundingly horror movie disgusting, but, curiously, no pain at all.
Went to a specialist in Brick and got it out, all cool but was in Ocean Medical area, the US hotspot for covid right now.
In 2-3 weeks I should be cool to see from...
APTASIA!
Best bet is this.
Pull all fish from the tank.
If any fish have aptasia on them, leave them in the tank.
If any of the fish have swam within 12 feet of the aptasia, leave them in the tank.
Empty tank of water.
Fill tank with gasoline.
Light it.
Fuel the fire for 3-4 days.
Refill tank...
Touch and go and luck.
I had one and I loved it, until...
Sponge had stopped by and as we were looking at it.
As Matt asked me if it nipped at corals it must have heard him, as it took a chunk of my purple acro.
As I was asking Matt if he saw that, which he had, It casually swam over and took a...
Called them yesterday.
They had to order in some shirts which took a while to get in.
They mentioned they were actually printing the backs as we spoke and that once colors and sizes are sorted, they'll print the front.
Was just told it would be a few more days.
Yep. I can do you a 20L (I think, or maybe its a 29) with a Maxspect Razor. It'll do well for anything in the middle but the last 3" of tank either side will be in a bit of shade.
As long as I can get the Razor back within 4-5 weeks all is groovie. You're welcome to keep the tank if you need it...
This reminds me of a story of some time in Guantanamo in the early 90's.
I was off flight duty for the day and decided to go diving.
I met up with a standard brick s-house marine as a partner and we went out.
Upon a number of sharks approaching us, unsure of the type but they were a type that...
