Think positive. You have one of the most expensive parts already. If you don't want to get a large tank going again how about a nano. Keep things cheap.

The optics are 90*. I had them on my 180 each covering a 24" x 24" section and seemed to cover well. A bit lower light in the front and back of the tank, but I had nothing there and the tank is 24"D also. I also have one mounted above my sons 45G cube(24x24x18) and have had no issues with...

Can't help you with the display but you def want to calibrate it. I have a good bit of fluid I can get you what you need to kick it off on the right track.
