Dan's New 150RR Most any pump will do. What do you use for a mixing pump? When I had my 90 I just used a maxijet1200 to pump out the old. Then dropped it in the new to pump it back in. For that can I would say a mag 5 or 7 or equivalent would be perfect.

My guess is that's the issue. Many fish show more vibrant colors when there is a need to.

Do you have a female? Male blue throats will lose coloration if there is no one to impress

Nice pics Mike. Those gels make a huge difference. I've been using the ones that praveen mentioned in the other thread. Got them from someone on MR. Hard to believe a piece of orange plastic can make this big of a difference.

I don't think they get too big. Mine is somewhere around 9-10 yrs and it about 4.5". And hasn't grown a bit in the few yrs I've had him.
