If you have the top on the overflow that I gave you, the little nipple on the pipe should be flush with that. If that's the case then you are pushing to much water through. Try cutting your flow down.

That's weird. One of the reasons I recommended it was because it is so quiet. Do you have anything underneath it. Is it possible that your hearing vibration from it on the glass. I gotta say that whole system was as close to quiet as one could get.
