    Our new project

Great job cleaning that up. I've seen tanks before with a center overflow. Rock all around to hide it but those were both centered in the room as well so basically a 360* view. It was pretty cool to watch that.

What to use vortech mp40 or 2 mp 10s

I had 2mp10's on my 90 and they were fine. I ran them at about 3/4 full with no problem. I only switched when I found a good deal on some mp20's which I converted to 40's. I run the 40's at about 1/3 full. IMO you would be better off with the two 10's just for the more random flow.

    Dan's 150 Rebuild

As your cutting have someone follow the blade underneath with a vacuum. That and a piece of plastic once the sump should be all you need.

The Velvet Revolver - Battling Velvet in 200 Gallons

Dry goods is the end of HIdden reefs "pro's". When they were primarily a fish store they were very good. Since adding reptiles and now other household pets they have gone way down. I was there the other day and they had exactly 8 buckets of salt. All were royal nature. No thank you. Fish...

How do you clean NEW dry sand?

It's really a shame that more places don't carry this sand. Even at the new higher price it's worth every penny.

How do you clean NEW dry sand?

Then. Suggest you save yourself a lot of rinsing and do the same thing I did. Empty tank, set up the rock scape then add the sand dry. Then just hook up the rodi to the tank and fill it. When it is full, put on a filter sock and stir the sand a little bit. You will surprised how clean that sand...

How do you clean NEW dry sand?

I didn't clean it at all when I used it. Though I had the luxury of starting a tank from scratch and not having to do an immediate transfer. That sand is surprisingly clean to start with. It may cloud the water a little bit but don't expect to find any foreign substances.

    OH S*#?^! byropsis

Oh and it's not really easy to find and takes a good bit of it to raise the mag. Depending on the size of your system you might be better off just ordering it by the gallon. When I was looking for it late last year I went to six different LFS and then ordered from amazon.
