Thanks for the offer- I'm not crazy for zoas and have some gsp. No offense but I was hoping to trade the midas for something more- cost me a bit- looking for torches,, birdsnest etc
II agree about the falco- even being one of the smallest hawks, it's better with more aggressive fish- the midas is fine in most tanks and a real beauty. Is the meeting free or are you offering some free corals lol? I have a green ricordia, small dragons breath macroalgae for trade
I bought this 12 watt light on amazon for under $30 for growing Chaeto and then came across this other one on aliexpress for under $2- the chinese one is 120v- the other converts to to 12v- I'll have to be careful mounting the 120v one, and I had to to solder it myself- there are 10/20/50w...
Will add an adult midas blenny and possibly a firefish for the right corals- nothing wrong with either- just going in a different direction- the midas and hawk are in the same tank- firefish is in a different one
If I owned a restaurant I'd be glad to give the buckets away- I'm sure they aren't recycled- just knowing that they'll be reused and not end up in a landfill is nice to know- also if you deal with the kitchen guys directly- they are either minimum wage ( or cash ) and would jump on a chance to...
#1 went back to it's rock last night, but has made the trip across and around to hang out in front of #2's rock- #2 attacks once in a while- hope he's eating and gets the message eventually
Day 2, #1 ( the original ) made it's way past the biggies to the back corner where #2 set up residence- they jawed it up for a while- then #1 has spent the rest of the day wagging it's tail- first along the back side of the tank- when that failed it's now on the glass above #2- I moved the...
This one is an adult, in a tank all by itself- a really beautiful fish. He also has a bicolor blenny that's been there for 6 months- just won't work in any of my tanks
Although I'm not crazy about the look of his tanks, I've had good luck and decent prices on much at Adam's Pet Safari in Chester- he has a marine betta in a tank for almost 6 months if someone is looking for one
Not sure how my experiment will work out- bought a second watchman. My mistake was putting it in the tank near the other one- they locked jaws and went from one end of the tank to the other- thought it might be a fight to death I was finally able to separate them and chase the first back to it's...
Changed my mind about a pistol shrimp-I bought a small yellow watchman, can I add another to a 40B- do they change sex or pair anyway, or just keep their distance
I find that even with 'sales' and adding in shipping most online stores are pricey- unless you're looking for something specific- better to deal locally - people here are great- prices are reasonable and you know what you're getting- aptasia and vermetid snails are part of what we all have to...
I'm sure many of you know this, but I thought I'd post anyway. You don't need any special equipment to hatch brine shrimp. I hang a plastic cup on my tank with water at .019- tank water is 87- overhead lights are enough- no aeration needed- mine hatch in 24-30 hrs- I then put the cup close to a...
