I have my 30 gal long cycled and have these fish planned- 2 chromis, royal gramma ( have them ) a midas blenny, 2 green clown gobies, a pink damsel and a falco hawkfish- of course enough coral, just wondering if I can add a bicolor blenny- it's in a lfs - been there for a month hiding in a pvc...

This time last year while recovering from covid, having lots of time on my hands I re discovered reefing and that one could do it without a big investment and have a tank with fish, corals and invertebrates on a budget- so i 'dove' in and bought an AIO nano. I was patient and let it cycle slow...

Bought a bag of shells today at a local craft store for $6.00- had enough hermit shells to last me a lifetime- and enough others to decorate whatever lol

The tank is now going through the diatom stage- nothing serious- have been keeping lights down. I borrowed a design for an algae scrubber from an old video from 2013 using a box with a plastic canvas sheet for knitting, an airstone w pump and a grow light mounted inside the tank- if it works out...

I got infected from my dr or his office this time last year- I wasn't hospitalized but spent 2 months losing weight etc- one thing that helped was re-finding this hobby- started with a 13 gal aio- now I have 3 tanks- hope you and your wife plow through and feel better soon

I've seen tanks online where people have multiple firefish- I actually have one in my 13 gal- almost too big for the tank- maybe I'll move it to the 30 gal and add another- my lfs had them for $20 this week- less than what I paid

I've seen where many have clowns that breed and also cardinals- neither excite me- are there other fish that will breed in a 30 gal tank. I'm not really looking to breed fish, but would like to add 'pairs' / 2 of a kind to my tank

I wonder if it has anything to to do with when people bought from them- how recent are the bad reviews. My only problem/complaint was that the peppermint shrimp I bought were doa- 3 days tumbling around in a bag- they should have at least added a piece of screen for them to hang on to- but they...

Not mine- but I was more than happy with the snails - they were generous with the count

Why not RC- I've had good experience with them- except my peppermint shrimp were doa- but I got reimbursed for them

Does anyone know if local craft stores have shells- and are they good- i have a couple of red leg hermits- one took to a shell in the tank- the other tried one on for a day and went back to it's old shell- worried that they'll kill my snails for their shells and don't want to pay shipping costs...
