Anyone in monmouth county area with fresh water tank?

Starting up a fresh water planted tank and need a few things like some stone and maybe a small piece of drift wood or two. It's a small 9g tank so I don't need much. Willing to trade some coral, or rock from my tanks. Thanks.

    Did my forest fire bounce?

I've read that some people say high UV but no one really has a definitive answer honestly.

    Did my forest fire bounce?

Looks like it, almost any Rhodactis can bounce it just has to be the right situation for it to happen.

    Light advice

Yup 100%. Actually one of the best lights for the price in my opinion.

    Light advice

I use the K7 Mini from Noopsyche and it puts out more Par than an AI Prime 16HD by a lot. I also tend to like the coloring a lot better but that also could be due to the fact that I don't use the controller for the Nicrew so I can only adjust in 20% increments.

    Light advice

yeah they put out good par, however I also run a Noopsyche light and man do those things put out major par lol. The Noop interface is terrible but once its set you just walk away and its done.

    Light advice

If you scroll half way down the page you will see that light requires a timer to dial it in completely with a full on ramp up cycle. I run the 100w version and honestly have no complaints but I dont use the controller. I just turned mine and off with a timer. Controller Link

Can Monti cap sting a fish?

I would let him be where he is comfortable and feels safe. Moving him or anything in the tank will only stress it more.

Can Monti cap sting a fish?

Nope, montis have no defensive attacks.

I need advice on our new lights

A80s in my honest opinion are under powered for a 65g tank. If you are running a similar dimension to what I have I run 2 x hydra 32s over it in comparison. While wattage does not mean anything its still a80 at 15w each vs hydra 32s at 90w each. This is a comparison of a hydra 32 vs kessil a160...

Sea horses in a mixed reef!!!

Definitely not going to work, they need a medium to low flow. They will never survive as they are animals and would explore the whole tank and just get blown away. If you really want to get them you would be best off dedicating a tank to them.
