Thank everyone. One day I need to learn how to take pictures. On my phone they don't com out to bad once they get on here though its all downhill. These pics just dont show the real colors, no justice what-so-ever
So its been a while since I did an update. I lost about 90% of my acros. The only ones that are left is a frag of purple nana and strawberry shortcake that began receding but seem to be recovering and my pearberry colony that is still in in limbo. It still shows recession but because of its size...
I saw some stuff about this before. Looks like it could be interesting but accuracy whould be the thing that concerns me. Thrive is a line of additive that have gotten mixed reviews at best from what I have seen. My fear is that this would ultimatly be a way for them to sell there product. On...
Started with T5's and I'm still with them with no desire to ever change. I'm running a 8x54W Tek at the moment. I may change to the ATI 8x but not positive.
I pulled mine yesterday. Its clear that the outer surfaces of the magnets were oxidized on mine, though they were fully intact. As far as being designed for reef systems these racks are not the only things that contain these magnets, think of the magnets that hold powerheads and pretty much...
I mentioned about the copper a few posts back. It amazes me that for a metal us reefers try so hard to keep out we sure are quick to add these magnets knowing they corrode specifically this eshopps rack that has reputation for doing so. Hopefully you can get the traces out of the system. But...
Same here too. Personally the new TapATalk sucks. IMO this is one of those things that should be nice and simple. This new version is very confusing. I can't even see if I have a PM without opening it and waiting for it to load then refresh it. R2R has the same issues.
Its precipitate. Calcium and carbonate. Most mixing containers will get this, its inevitable. If its really bad try mixing the salt a little slower, that help me a bit.
Well my cousin was nice enough to offer a small tank for my start. Exo terra mini 12x12x18
This stuff was in the tank but I'm pretty sure it's junk for this endeavor.
Paul, I think I'm gonna reach out to Radiata for some advice and direction. Thank for letting me know he is involved.
That everyone. Was away on vacation. Hoping to get out Monday for a bit of searching. Actually I was hoping my son would forget about this but he didn't. I guess I'll start my search at the hidden reef. And continue on dendro boards.
Cmantis, I looking for a small tank. Do you think a small...
So I'm here in Virginia for vacation and of course my some has come across all sorts of lizards and frogs. Today he found and caught a green tree frog and it was promptly placed in a empty water bottle. I was to be his new pet before we talked him into letting it go since obviously it would die...
There's a pretty good article I found on tangs and tank sizes. The article basically try's to debunk the larger tank rule for tangs. It specifically names the hippo as a tank that really doesn't need a large tank. Anyway if I can find it I'll post it. It's a pretty quick and interesting read...
I was gonna have a sump made by him as well. Opted for a glass one made by another Manhattan reefs member. Great guy but the sump cracked in less then a month. No fault of his I'm sure. I think I'll get in touch with Jeff for my next one.
If they are plain old mushrooms you could just slice the off at the base. Then put the pieces in new areas or secure them into place where you want them. The original base will form into a new shroom.
Looks great. I mentioned it before also but why not again. The rock sculpture came out perfect. I don't think it could possibly fit any better.
On to the light. If you don't mind spending a bit of money a AI Nano would fit that perfectly possibly a razor nano also. Again they both can be a bit...
