Hey J.Hoffa, I looked into buying this item, but then I looked at the specs on it. It lasts a mere 25.2 minutes (475 Watts) which is half juice. Full juice 7.0 minutes (950 Watts). WOW that is no good if you use a heater. Really. Look at the specs at this APC website...
I have that APC 1250 on one of my tanks, I bought it from Walmart on clearance for $35. I have another one on a frag tank that i got for $20, I took it apart, it actually has a motor scooter battery in it! The same battery my kids have in their electric Schwinn scooters. One battery, the...
Free- Does anyone need frags of orange cap? I am weeding some from my system. Grows too fast. I have the frags in another tank with pc's and they are used to sunlight from the gh. Kinda faded right now, but will color up just fine. Let me know and i will bring some to the March meeting.
I have a refractometer I could bring, too. Also, I have reference saline made for me by the pharmacist at work that everyone can calibrate their refractometer to.
Yea, the photometer is in their new catalog. Not on their website, it is too new. It is the YSI 9300. I am bummed that their magnesium reagent is for freshwater only. I called them, they recommend this meter for reefs like we have. It has been really accurate testing against my elos and api and...
this one is designed for salt water. it is calibrated with the actual tank water first each time. this meter just came out, it is recommended by aquatic eco systems for reef applications. some tests were not for salt water, like their magnesium reagent. some reagents are only for salt water.
i am bringing my new YSI Photometer to the meeting in hopes to trade a test for a frag. since you sound desperate, free for you. This is an $800 toy that reads parameters of different sorts utilizing a reagent. I have reagents for alkalinity, calcium, phosphate low range, and pH among the 40...

I will try to find my old Panasonic digital camera...
Even though you were just here in January, you are welcome to use my house for the July meeting. I have a built in pool. I wish I had an indoor pool like Billy! Maybe one day I will get a huge display like so many of you guys have. If you get stuck Francis, let me know.
hey Francis, I will take it all. My kids are into computers, and I can take them apart and mix and match. I will pick it all up at the next meeting.
THANKS!!
RENEE
