Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
When they redid photobucket they added an editing tab (or I did not see if before) and it actually is pretty good. I wanted to show you guys what some pics look like when edited.
I shoot with a Nikon D3100 with the stock lens (want to get a macro soon). Under the LEDs in my Display, the true...

This looks like something we could all use somewhere in the hobby. Just don't know how it would affect fish and corals.

The BOD and the group buy committee are going to be getting together shortly to setup the buy schedule for next year. We decided to throw this thread up and see what are members were interested in doing a buy this year and also recommend some stores/websites that you would like to see us go...
It is that time of year, we are looking for members who want to host a wonderful group of reefing addicts at their home. I am going to post up the schedule below and just either respond in here or shoot me or Taz a PM if you want it. Any questions please ask them here and we can clear it up...
We fully broke down the 45g tank and we were moving it out to the garage last night so we could get the house in shape for Thanksgiving and hosting. The tank was connected to the sump with the glass holes overflow kit and we tried to move it all at once because again we were rushing. Well when...
TGreetings everyone!! Nikki and I are glad to open our house for the holiday party this year. Since Sandy has wiped out our frag swap we decided to go to someone's house instead of a resturant so it could be a little less formal and we could all have some fun. We are going to have some big coral...
One of the first corals I ever bought for my 12g was a single head of dendro back in roughly december of 2008. It survived a tank crash where the temp of the tank dropped to around 55 degrees. It has always been one of my favorites.
Here is what it looked like around when I bought it...
These fish are coming from a tank that was broken down by Nicole's aunt. They are thin as they were not really taken care of hence the fact they are back in our hands. We do not have the room for them nor do we want to keep another tank running. We are leaving for Vegas on Saturday and we...
I am sure by some of the posts we have made we are upgrading for the last time. This is going to take some time and we don't even have the tank yet but I wanted to start the old build thread. I am still finalizing some of the equipment and build aspects but at least I can get something...
Looking to frame out a fish room, add a slop sink and of course run some electricity. Obviously will pay for it, shoot me a pm if you do that sort of work. Tank is probably not going to be in for a few months so we have time.
Just want to ask out there, with nano tuners now shut down, does anyone know where to get the LED upgrade kit for a 12g JBJ hood? We are not DIY people, if someone wants to help us, I am cool with that but this is not something I would do on my own. Any input would be appreciated.
So after reading this article:

We decided that were were going to try to culture tigger pods because it made it sound so easy. So I will do this in step to try and make is easier to read.
Step 1. Buy one bottle of Reef Nutrition Tigger...

This is not a split, we have decided to get rid of our orginal RBTA as it is just too unpredictable and a coral killing machine. We are upgrading soon and we decided this has no room in our upgrade plans. This guy is probably 8 inches across when opened up and really is a stunning animal. We...
