I have two 1lb flat packs available. Like to trade for corals (SPS preferred) otherwise $10 each.
Best use before Oct. 2013 but it has been in the freezer.
Thanks for the response. I will leave it alone for now. The corals seem to be doing ok.
Tom - I can tell the bird nest I got from you is going to be a fast grower. I can see some growth every few days.
I accidentally dosed too much Mg (even though I followed instructions) so not I have 1520 ppm. The corals seems to be doing fine. The rest of the numbers are 450 ppm Ca and 9dkh Alk. 0 PO4 and 0 Nitrate.
Should I bring down the Mg level with water changes to below 1400 ppm or I can let it go...
Update. I redid the rock work this weekend as I realize the space behind the rock is useless. Being only 18" front to back if the rocks is in the middle there won't be a lot of room in front of the rocks. So I moved all the rocks back. Some touching the wall. This will give me a lot of rock to...
I have 3 people interested so I will be out of it for a while.
Rich - I am good most night just not sure about tonight. I will pm you if I am available.

I am going to dose manually for now. I think with the limited demand from the corals I will not need to dose between water changes (10g weekly). Just need to dose the new water before water change. I have only 8 SPS frags. The rest are LPS.
It has been a while and I have been doing some testing. The tank has stablized and the few corals in there are doing ok at least. The red cap has encrusted.
Tank:
Alk: 7.3 - 7.6
Cal: 400 - 420
Mg: 1000 - 1060
Fresh mixed water:
Alk: 12
Cal: 500+
Mg: 1600+
I continue to get...
It seems the reef hobby has changes very fast so a lot of the books are no longer relavent. Any newer books worth owning? I mean you can look up a lot of stuff on the internet now but still its nice to have a good reference on all the coral species and their care etc.

Roman, i like your style, go big or go home that is. welcome to the club. I have ADD so if you can break your writings into a few paragraphs it will help me a lot. Feel free to use bullet points too.:-) I am new to the hobby too so my only advice is take it slow. No instant gratifications...
