Verdict is in!!!
I guess after my last outbreak of dinos and loss of 3 stony corals my intake of alk went down. The 11.2 was in fact true. I've since lowered my dose and we will see what happens.
Randy at reef2reef said it's not much to worry about. Aluminum isn't high enough to be of a concern.
I think I'll start by adding a second di resin canister.
Sponge you ask about high dkh. I think the test is a little skewed as I test couple days a week and it's 9dkh
The BRS sediment filters fit in buddie ???
I think I'll add a second di resin canister (aka buy a two stage resin system) and change filters
What would you do to remove silicon and aluminum?
Should I use elite ? I've heard it's better for a dollar or two more.
I've changed my carbon and sediment filters 6 months ago? Membrane is due soon but still reading 0tds water ? I use am RO buddie.. should I look at a higher quality 5-7 stage system?
Aluminum is due to marine pure and...
I dose both alk and calcium daily.
My target is 9dkh and 450 Ca which I'm in range. Those numbers aren't that off?
I am looking at a new ro system. The last attachment is RO system which shows high silicon as well.
It's an ICP test done through API. It's reccomended to do one once a quarter for larger picture items like metals etc. It's not a hobby grade test it's a high accuracy test.
I hope I find them too
Howdy,
I got my first ICP results back and I'm concerned with silicon. My RO water seems to have it either through storage (55 gallon food safe barrel) the tubing 30 foot hose or just naturally from the tap. Can I add a canister or something to remove it? How do I remove it from the tank...
Bump again...
I am about to place a reefcleaners.org order but they don't have any trochus available. Does anyone have a surplus in North Jersey that I could buy?
