I know it sounds crazy. Who would want majano? I can use your unwanted majano for a project I have planned. If you are nearby Howell (20-30 minute drive) I can come by for a curbside pickup. Also looking for unwanted rubble rock.
Hey I am interested in your pests when you are ready to get rid of them. Especially ones attached to any rubble you may have. I have a project in mind for students to keep a mini reef in a mason jar. I just need to figure out the lighting challenge. I was thinking Aiptasia, but Mojanos might be...
Thanks. Do they have species names or common names? Embarrassed to admit this but number 7 was on a hard structure that was attached to a frag plug when I bought it. I mistook it for possibly an acan. I will follow up with better pictures of 1 later when the lights come on.
Hi
I am trying to improve my knowledge of corals that I have in my tanks. I chose similar ones intentionally. If you can share the names and characteristics used to distinguish that would be helpful.
So I have to put a price on corals I want to sell. I know this question has been asked before and it's a difficult question to answer. What is a fair price per head for Euphyllia assuming I do not have anything rare? I guess I am looking for a number where it's fair to the buyer and the seller.
If there are other members with children who might be interested in doing this let me know. Maybe I can organize a little friendly competition through my program.
I think distilled water is very doable. The goal will be to have the students observe changes, increased size, reproduction, etc. I like the idea of adding inverts because it will add to the excitement. Maybe I can do this as a phase two after they have some success. I am concerned until they...
This project will be for kids who may never have considered keeping a reef setup. In addition, parents may be skeptical. So my thoughts are to put together ideas for a setup that does not cost much money. For some kids it might end after a couple weeks but hopefully they will learn some valuable...
As some of you know, I teach STEM classes to middle school students. One of the our projects this year was to build an all in one using a 20 long. The kids were very proud to put this together. We kept a pistol shrimp and goby which led to many great learning opportunities. Recently inspired...
The corals seem to be doing very well. Only one more piece broke during transit but it is still an awesome looking piece. Well, two really cool pieces now. The birds nest is different from what I have so that turned out to be a plus as well. Thanks a lot and good luck on your move.
