Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Ok. If I may offer a suggestion. I was just looking back in the thread to see what kind of shims your using. Are you still using the counter samples? That might be your problem. You should be using actual shims. Either wood or composite, I prefer wood. You can get them at HD or Loews. The are...
I believe your concern is valid. This thread seems to have taken a turn. It went from get your tank completely level to its ok to be off a bit. It has been my understanding that if the tank is off lvl then added stress is put on the seals. With that said why is it ok to be off front to back but...
Thanks guys. It's only a 3/4" return with 4 connections. I'll set it up and then do a bit of sump cleaning while it sits. Maybe give it a couple of hrs.
Actually a little less. It helps that the rock is completely clean. And I used some nice live from my other tank.
To be honest, if option A is easy enough that is probably the way to go. Though you might see a mini cycle after you move it. Just make sure you keep feeding the bacteria in the...
I'll chime in here cause I recently set up a tank with just about all reef rocks. I set up my 90 with about 125lbs of it, all dry. I added two pieces from my old tank to move the cycle. It was cycled with a couple of pieces of shrimp. It took less then a month. I then added all my coral and fish...
Well then boosting pressure would be a bad idea. I'm thinking about adding a second membrane also. The thoughts of making 10gal an hr is very appealing to me.

You should be able to adjust the pressure on that pump to make the water faster. Before the pump I was making about 5 gal every 3 or more hours. That was with warmed water. With the pump I completely fill 5 gal containers in just over an hour. I have my pressure Guatemala placed right...
Sorry to hear this, At this point I would just do what I did, call and email over and over. I gotta say though, and this is just a thought. Go to his site and email through there, as if you are inquiring about buying them as a new customer. When I did this the first time he was quick to cantact...
I had so many excuses I can't even remember them all. One that sits out is that it has been raining nonstop. I heard that one at least 3 times. I actually started checking the weather at his location and finally called him on it, only to get another excuse.
It's a shame. The rock is great, but the service there just plain sucks. It took me just shy of 2 months to get mine, and that was calling every other day.
Well for some reason I can't see the vid. Mine does vibrate not terrible, and it does make noise. Again not terrible. Best way I can describe it is like one of those small electric pressure washers. Just on a much smaller and lower scale.
