Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Keep hanging out with Larry and you should get it quick. How is he doing? Haven't seen him around here for some time. Tell him that NJRC says "HI"......
Carbon and GFO. I think they they require different flow (just my opinion). Since I will not be using GFO, I would use carbon and Zeo stones like Nickjr mentioned. The Zeo stones require you to change the flow at least 1-2 times a week.
I have the ACJr and the Apex. The Jr. is only controlling the lights right now. The Apex needs to be configured. But I have it set up where I can connect to it via the Web. Just need time.
Hey Taz, can those be fed individually or is there only one input? If someone would want to use two different media, the flow requirement might be different.
I think it would be better in a reactor than in a bag. Water will flow around a bag (less resistance) than through it. Leaving the media in the middle of the bag not used or partially used. I have been using the Phosban reactor 150 by Two Little Fishies and they work great.
I love this fish. I was actually talking to Will over at AO last night about one. The first thing that came out of his mouth was, "Do you know that they are jumpers?". He stated that even if you have a netting on your tank, that they will always find a way to jump ship. I really want one, but to...
Some people have warned me to keep it in the sump cause they tend to leak. I have kept mine hanging outside the sump as well as seen others do it this way and never had a leak. But you know that in this hobby, nothing is 100 % bullet proof.
You don't have to go high-end for a tank this size. Yes, reflectors do make a difference but with the height of your tank, you don't have to worry to much about it. I would go with the 6 bulb fixture. This way you have more spread. I actually had a 6 bulb fixture on a 20 gallon and all the...
Thanks Phil. PA does not allow anyone in there warehouse. They have a display full of items with what they have available. All you have to do is just ask them what you want and they will get for you. They also have a computer that you can use to shop and they will get you the item from the...
They had these at MACNA. Like mfisher2112, they are a monster. Don't know why they would use suction cups for this size of a pump. Mark, if i were you, I would try to find it at a lfs to see if you are comfortable with the size of this pump in your tank.
OK, sorry. I was talking about Brightwells since the subject of this thread is Brightwells method. I know nothing about Zeovit and needing to use a specific salt or carbon. I do know that you do not need to use Brightwells salt nor carbon to use there method. Allot of people from Zeovit have...
