I rinsed my food today and it only killed the skimmer for a few minutes compared to a few hours. That was an easy fix! The water level is probably 1/5 of the way up the cone, if that makes sense.

I've had my SRO 1000 INT up and running for two weeks now. It's still not skimming as efficiently as I'd like it to. When I feed my fish it kills the skimmer for hours...Is my skimmer still breaking in? Any suggestions or thoughts?

I had the extra PVC parts. I bought an MJ600 and two CFL floodlights. The screen was less than a dollar at Michael's craft store. So almost $40.

I see John Guest makes a 1/4 push fit bulkhead. What stores would carry them locally? (Trenton area)

Anybody know where I can get a bulkhead for standard sized airline tubing?

I used the black as well. HD had it in the gardening section outside. Bird netting.

This is the third feeding. The first only my tang, wrasse and royal gramma went after them. I'm really trying to feed my fish better foods lately.

Thanks guys/gals. I was surprised when the very helpful and knowledgeable people at Wal-Mart had no know idea what I was talking about. I ended up ordering two bags online.

I'm looking for pickling lime and can't find it anywhere. Ace hardware, ACME, Shoprite and Wal-Mart do not have it. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I'm trying to avoid ordering it.

I went to The Hidden Reef today and picked up some live black worms. This is my first time feeding worms. Only three of the six fish ate them. I'll try again tomorrow. Well, make that eight fish. I picked up these two little guys.
