Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
I don't know Apex and am partial to ReefKeeper, considering I have two old school ReefKeeper 2's running my tank. However.........
I'm a little surprised ReefKeeper Lite is still around considering the original Reefkeeper is GONE and replaced by Archon. I'm surprised they haven't come out...
I'm out Sunday morning....picking up a tank. I should be home around 11:30 - 12:00. Let me know if that works.
I believe the Crown Royal is on Route 27 (Lincoln Highway).....about 10 miles away.
Powerhead Controller Bracket
I don't llike Velcro, so I make little box brackets for what otherwise would be Velcro'ed in my equipment cabinet. Making these little things is actually therapy for me.......so last night was a therapy night in the shop, while I made a bracket to hold the...
I agree, Naso won't "fit" in your 90.....so go with a small Sally, that most likely won't bother your fish (assuming no tiny little fish), and when it gets big (by now the algae is gone) move him to your sump or re-home.
I'd suggest you start your own because you might have different issues.....start by telling all parameters, age of the tank, lighting, water change info, etc.
Let's take a step back......
What are your nitrate numbers (and phosphates).....and you're talking bleaching....so how old is the tank, what are your calcium, alkalinity and magnesium numbers? What lighting do you have? Fill us in on the water change schedule and how much you change...
If you know someone who belongs to one of the "club" stores, you can pick up the 13.5 pound bag of Arm and Hammer Baking Soda for about 6 bucks.....which will make about 12 gallons of Alk solution......dirt cheap!!!!
Sorry, Bill Wann in Wisconsin has this little 8000 gallon tank beat by a long shot. Bill's tank is 20,000 gallons....and yes, he needs to dive in it to clean it. Google Bill Wann Aquarium....you'll be amazed.
Thanks for sharing.
Greatly appreciated....that will save me. I don't know what speed it's in.......I've got to believe some safety mode speed....but it's not that fast, and it's non-controllable. This is the second Vortech controller that's crapped out on me....the other was a much newer MP10. I did crack...
Don't know about Finnex. I will tell you that my second choice is Sera. I'll use their heaters when a Jager won't fit......that's my one complaint about Jager's, they are long.
I have the smaller Sicce Syncra on my biopellet reactor (I think the 1.0)....I believe they are all built the same.....they come apart very easily, so take it apart. There is a rubber o-ring around the faceplate of the pump.
EDIT TO ADD:
HERE's a video on taking apart a Sicce
I don't know Apex, but I'm surprised that it doesn't actually control your heaters. I have old school ReefKeeper 2 and it controls my two heaters from 78.0 to 78.3....never fluctuates from these temp's unless it's summer and I haven't turned on the air conditioner.
Go Eheim Jager......twice...
I think they are just testing your email for when you decide to run for one of the positions on the Executive Board.
Actually, I have no idea. I did just check my email and the only notifications I get are for PM's....otherwise, nothing else.
By chance did you go into your...
Let me know what you find with Dow Flakes....I've never found it locally. Note that Dow also sells their calcium chloride to others for that company to market and sell......I know Panther Industries is one of these companies....but they're Canadian. I've been using Prestone Driveway Heat...
Well it's happen again! I'm wondering if this is a sign of the controller crapping out? Going to reset it and see what happens.
EDIT TO ADD:
I answered that question.....it's crapped out! Just attempted to do the reset.....four times, and on restart, immediately went to the red light.
I'm liking it! Pictures? The image in the OP isn't showing up.
EDIT TO ADD:
OP image now showing up. Could we see images of it not lit? Where did you hide the power supplies? What heat transfer compound did you use? Is it set up in Series of Parallel?
Brandon, I'm interested in the 55 gallon package, but the earliest I could come would be Sunday. I've also never heard of a 55 long....what are the dimensions? This will be perfect for a QT with all the fish I need to replace.
