Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
I'll donate a few good sized frags for the raffle: Pink Birdsnest(Seriatopora hystrix), ORA Frogskin(Acropora sp.), Bali Green Slimer(Acropora yongei).
No. Do you have MHLLE? It can also be caused by the use of lignite carbon, and stress.

I think stress can be caused by overcrowding the tank, or by placing large/territorial fish in a tank...
I used to keep this in the refugium when it was $7.00 for the amount shown on the site, and feed it on a clip. It became too expensive, and I no longer keep a refugium. So, now I use Julian Sprung's Purple seaweed . I also feed a mix of PE and Hikari Mysis Shrimp, along with NLS marine pellets.
What do you have for a sump and refugium? Quarantine tank? What are you considering for substrate? Deep or shallow sand bed or bare bottom? Rock?
Do you have/considered a decent RO/DI unit, and a good skimmer? A decent refractometer and calibration fluid? The list goes on. Here is an article...
This maybe?

I don't like either one. Generally Hanna's are good devices, but there's been a lot of posts about the Ca checker being problematic. I would recommend either, Salifert or the new Red Sea Pro kits.
