Update I started using Seachem balance. 1/2 a bottle cap raises PH 0.1 for a day. I am going to continue for at least 1 month and see if it makes a difference at the end

Thanks I am ordering a bottle to give it a try. On the meantime I went to the depot and bought a 50 cfm bathroom fan and I am bringing air in from the outside right next to the tank. This should put to rest the idea of too much CO2 in the house

are you selling your light fixture with it?

I considered getting one of those but I am alread pulling air from outside the house for my skimmer so I doubt It will make a difference

I do have a calcium reactor to keep the alk stable. I run also a reverse light schedule in my sump and I have a ton of corals there but at night my PH still drops from 7:90 to 7:60

boomer, I had had the windows open in the house for the last 3 days, and PH has not changed at all. As far as maintenance I do a 10 % water change a week and remove the debris in the sump at least once a month.

So if no one regenerates their resin, is everybody just thrwing it out?

The piece has been removed. I used a technique sugested by a reefer in another site. I pointed a 500 w halogen light directly at the clam and tried to remove the piece with twizzers. With that amount of light once the clam realized I had a hold of the piece of coral it was too late. Here is the...

I did not technically aereate it, I just had a pump for circulation

Ok I did the comparison over the weekend and the mixed water that was aereated inside the house for 4 days had a PH of 8.2. So I doubt that excessive CO2 is the issue.
