Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
It's not right that you have to eat the additional charges. I say that everyone who has ordered a shirt throws another buck for each shirt ordered. I'll be giving you another two bucks at the meeting. Who's joining me?
I'd stick with Kalk and use a Tom's Aqualifter and have a rebuild kit on hand to do the very simple rebuild when the pump craps out.
BRS carries this rebuild for $4.99
HERE is my experience with rebuilding this pump....post #358.
And I'd use two part if and when the Kalk could not keep...
So if I understand your numbers, you wish to dose 5 mls of Brightwells Alk per day. If you loose a pint of water per day, you will want 5 mls of alk in that volume. Since you have a 2 gallon reservoir, and there are 8 pints in a gallon, you will need 5 x 16 = 80 mls of this alk product in 2...
I don't see any issue in dosing this way....short of variation from amount of water lost to evaporation. You still will need to manually dose an equal amount of calc with that. I'm also scratching my head on 1 ml of alk in two gallons of ATO water....seems extremely dilute. How much water...
Unfortunately I'm not a Facebook user.
But on the flip side, kudos to LiveAquaria. I can't take credit for finding this, but Eva Rose over on R2R published this:
Live Aquaria has addressed this on their FB page.
Link on 'Dory'...
Riding the "Finding Dory" film and offering up a Hippo Tang in 30 gallon tank......actually I think six gallons for a clown is also pushing it.
The store front is actually located in Illinois.
I'm going to try my darndest to be there.....I believe the shirts might be available at this meeting....woohoo!
And @rkalola , if by chance you have the smallest of frags remaining, I'd be interested as well. If you want, I could bring downbeach birdsnest for you.
You could also have an impact from one or both sucking Italian principles.....I'm talking either Bernoulli or Venturi....causing the reactor to now have it's fluids sucked right out of it at a faster rate then desired. :D (Actually Bernoulli was Swiss, but it sounds Italian.:p)
