Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
If you're able to login there, I'm surprised you can't PM or post. They've recently upgraded their servers/forum software and I'm not really sure what their registration process is anymore. I'm pretty sure they required activation, but I'd think that you wouldn't be able to login if your...
Scott, welcome. Be sure to post up any questions that you have in a separate thread so that they get the attention that they deserve! Hopefully we can help you get that 95 up and running with greater success.
Thanks Doug. We'll review the offer, but expanding to another forum (when we already have this to monitor) is not an undertaking to be taken lightly. They certainly do offer great support for a club that doesn't already have a private forum. I would imagine new clubs will love the idea!
Every time you change your lighting you cause a change in your tank. Nutrients that one algae might not be able to use may feed another algae that thrives in those conditions. Altogether possible that the change caused the outbreak. I see it often when people change types of lighting (PC/T5/MH)...
That golden frag was a doll baby though Sierra has done nothing but talk about the little black one since we left! She just loved that pup!
Brian mentioned photos, Bob. I'm sure they'll be up in no time.
We missed you and Terry. Hopefully we'll see you at an upcoming.
Welcome to the forums. Glad you've found us. We look forward to hearing all about your tank as it grows. Feel free to start a "Tale of the Tank" thread with it so we can watch your progress.
Thanks everyone. Great dialog during the meeting and we had an excellent time while we were there. Sorry our stay was so short. I wish we had been able to stay MUCH longer but the kids had us crunched into a tiny window today! Thanks so much for opening your home up to us! We appreciate it and...
Hood or no hood? What about one of the IceCap fixtures or Retro kits? I like the retros for the bang for buck. I would choose an IceCap fixture (that you know is powered with a 660 ballast) over a current fixture (my current PC fixture had the ballasts both "melt" on me), personally.
They are great guys. We actually never have invited them to sponsor. I figure they know that sponsorships are available, but we don't really "sell" sponsorships (unless someone is using our forums in a commercial way without being a sponsor).
Interesting... What corals are you keeping these days? Do you think there will be any algae implications from using the 6500 NO bulbs? Do they hold their color spectrum? I'd love to see progress shots on the tank for a few months to see if there's any notable change.
Welcome! What a great story! I'm glad you're finally on the right road. Start a "tale of the tank" thread when you get a chance so that we can follow along!
