I just got into the house from working tonight and my wife tells me we had a power failure for about one hour and ten minutes. No big deal.....we've had power failures and the tank just starts up again. But when I check the tank, the one ReefKeeper has a bar across it and all lights are on...
Geewiz Brandon, are we looking at the same picture? I see five silly children in that picture. And it's hard to tell how many are wearing diapers!
Looks great Tim.....can't wait to see more pictures. Keep them coming.
To answer your question about epoxy, I haven't met an epoxy that wasn't reef safe.
Now as far as using epoxy to "seal" the plexiglass (acrylic) partitions.....I'd be interest to see if this works. The reason is that acrylic swells and contracts in the presence of water. Not sure if a rigid...
Daniel, this tank comes with provenance, with mikem being the original owner. Display with pride and joy......and post some pictures of this build. Best of luck with this "new" tank!
No! No! No! No! You are not allowed to do this. Anyone with an ounce of intellegence will tell you that you'd have to be a blathering idiot to set up a tank like this with those costs.....and especially letting your significant other see numbers like that. You need to use Caveman...
A deja vu moment for me that I had to share. Anyone who is of my vintage just loved Stairway to Heaven. A friend just sent me this link of Ann Wilson singing Stairway during the 2012 Kennedy Center Honors Awards....Just absolutely amazing! The drummer in this video is Jason...
You say new tank syndrome.....do you have fish in the tank? I would not start vodka with low N and P numbers....that's what you'll be testing for to find your "maintenance" dose.
You want the cheapest rot-gut plain vodka you can find. My local liquor store sells 1.75 liters for 12.99. The following assumes 80 proof (40% alcohol); The original Reefkeeping article called for a starting dose of 0.1mL per 25 gallons of total water volume per day for days 1-3, followed by...
Great video! I've always been fasinated by cuttlefish, but dissapointed in that most only live two to three years. They are not fish.....they are cephalopods.....same group as octopus, squid and nautilus....and unfortunalely are not long lived. If they lived longer, I'd have a tank...
