    CO2 Scrubber

I didn’t get much from the outside air either. I ordered from this site. https://www.jorvet.com/product/jorvet-soda-lime-5-gallon/ I’m replacing the media every 20-25 days. I’m about halfway through. I’m not 100% on when I ordered it, I think it was last fall.

    CO2 Scrubber

I do. This one is easy. Buy or make a reactor, Fill with pellatized soda lime, connect to skimmer (Air in and out). When it changes color put in new media. Why do you need one? Meaning what is causing the low Ph, and how low? There are less expensive options depending on your situation...

    Non sensitive protein skimmer recommendations.

Yeah man it’s really gross, but don’t have to do it so often so I think it’s a good trade off.

    Non sensitive protein skimmer recommendations.

For what it’s worth, I’ve only ever had two skimmers. Both of them were/are on my current system. Before that I had only used algae scrubbers to supplement the biological filter. My first skimmer was a bubble magus curve 7. I replaced it with a larger one as my systems volume has increased...

WTB/Trade Biocube or other AIO (South/Central NJ

Looking for an AIO, biocube 29/32 is what I’m thinking of, around 30-50 gallon. Stand would be a big plus. Interested in a purchase or trade (I have some colonies coming out of the display :) , and frags). PM me if you have something, let’s see what we can work out. Dave

WTB Santa Monica Algae Scrubber Surf or Hog Model

I can’t see how they would be as effective as the waterfall scrubbers, but I dont have any experience with an up flow.

In all reality, the lights and acrylic aren’t cheap, and when you add the labor to build the commercial ones, some of them aren’t so badly priced. If I was going to buy one, it would be A Clearwater or apis unit. I think @Steven Simon has a Clearwater unit he might be able to tell you about.

WTB Santa Monica Algae Scrubber Surf or Hog Model

I’m using a chaetomax 18 watt light on each side. Heat worried me, I used a 1/8 thick acrylic display box as the base for it. The lights are mounted with hard Velcro (like the kind they give you for ezpass). It keeps the light about 1/4 or so off the box which keeps it pretty cool. I’ve had...

    Dangerdave’s reef

@Hockeynut yeah man, its out the bottom now Through a 1.5 drain. No gate valve, nothing flows through through the emergency drain. It isn’t running a syphon, I may eventually put a gate on it remove the noise. The room has some water sound anyway, so it’s not a big deal at the moment.
