Same colony today

I have a few hundred heads of a few different kinds, they all do that sometimes.

It’s a very effective filter. @Mark_C had a small Xenia tank, no water changes for a loooong time and it just kept going. Maybe he’ll give us some details... The risk is having it detach and spread to your display where it could take over.

it’s an easy fix. Cut the pvc, and put an appropriate size silicone tubing section in.

That’s a great point. If you go this way, siliconing will keep detritus from building up underneath them

Yes, that’s why I have about a 1/2 inch layer of sand. I end op with bare bottom in some places, but it’s constantly shifting. I’ve seen a few interesting bare bottom tank options on r2r recently. One guy used travertine tiles. They’re Reef safe, I use them for frags and colonies in my tank...

There is a member here that has a couple pallets of pukani available. Hopefully he’ll post here for ya... if he doesn’t I’ll try to find his contact info. It’s nice rock, I bought it from the same guy they bought out to take the rest of it.

Check TSM corals for corals and higher end and well conditioned fish. They’re just opening their new retail location, hoping to get out there soon. Ultimate corals is another good one, check his Facebook page, he always has something spectacular available.
