any specific reason you want your alk at 9? I know it is all subjective but I run my alk within 7.5-8.5dkh and always had great growth. IMO as well, lower alk also gives a little room to breathe when nutrients start creeping really low, wont get burnt tips.

for that size of a tank, you'd be better making corrections using 2 part dosing and then using the kalk to keep it stable, you will eventually will need to switch to 2 part once the kalk can't keep up.

thats awesome! this is definitely one fish that should be bought captive bred since in most cases its so hard to get wild caught ones to eat.

any gen 3 or above of Radions are great. if you want to save, look for used Gen 3s/4s espcially if you will be using them with a hybrid setup. I would consider Gen 5s if you are doing all LED or want the lastest and greatest. Gen3s and 4s still work great and are proven.

I agree, I have a few that are just straight up brown but then everything else have great color. once new growth and tips start coming in, its when color start peaking out. 1 month to me is not long enough to color up SPS. for me I usually expect the SPS to settle after 3 months or so but again...

you didn't really have to lower the spectrum, you could of used the AI acclimation mode to achieve this next time. I would keep an eye on it. prolonged of it being unhappy can tear the skin on the skeleton. it might of got shocked with your initial settings so just let acclimate to the new...
