i been using rios for around 2 long years and i dont have problem with them, even when they are in a wavemaker, but yes just for some extra gallons maybe the mj900 will be better and for even more water movement you can get the hydros,
Gabe
i dont think you will have a splash, maybe the only way will be if you run a lot of water through your sump, but you have slow turnover sump, i dont see any problem with it

you put the sock at the end of your overflow pipe in the sump, so it will help you reduce microbubbles and some noise
http://jjgeisler.com/reeftank/diy_kalkwasser_reactor.htm , john this link is for a dyi kalk reactor is pretty easy to build, i made one like 3 years ago and work pretty good, you dont have to use acrylic, you can make it all with pvc, if you need a hand with it let me know i can help you
Gabe
for the SCWD, you can look into ocean motions, they have one that is 2 ways, and people talk great about those, and i bet they will give you better turnover for the pump you going to use
Gabe
volk i think you can upgrade your pumps a bit, the flo divise will lower the flow of the pumps, and what jon said is true if those are the strip kind of test, they suck big time, get something else like those for aquarium farm
Gabe
i think the most difficult part for me when i had my nano was fish, is hard to pick what fish to put in your tank, after that was easier to take care of it than my 120g
Gabe
volk yes you need sand and rock to start the cycle, you can buy online or if you are a register member of the club is a lot of lfs that give disccounts to members of the club when you show your card, and for your list, well you need pumps, heaters, lights, and a lot of patience,
Gabe
PS. if you...
mookie i think you are talking about mag pumps, i have 2 and they give the same problem and i read that other people have the same problem, just take it out of tank give a good cleaning and change the screws to plastic screws and you will have a pump that work for years without a problem
Gabe
yes Erik the white will be better than the black, and i don't think it diffuses that much light, i saw a thread in RC i think about a cover for a tank with something like chicken wire
Gabe
john i think it depends of how often you do water changes, in mine i check mag once and week and just dose with kent supplement, is easier, and i do water changes 2 times a week
