Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
You're about an hour away from me.
Saying that, I know how a simple pump fail can cause a catastrophic event, and what may be a cause of anxiety to a tank owner can be an easy fix for a fellow reef keeper.
We have a number of members closer to you, but if no one is available let me know.
I can't...
Hi Cvec!
Welcome aboard, sorry its under the circumstances you describe.
Couple of things...
We do have a 'for sale' section, as well as a 'for trade' and 'free' section, but these are only available to paid members... $12 a year, no big deal. Sure at your prices they'd sell fast enough here...
Lets all pressure Trio!
Yoooouuuuuu nneeeeeedddd thisssssss.
I'd snag it myself if I we're still into the big tanks.
Now a days I have to find places for the small ones.
Depends, I have both.
Running a 10g pest tank (GSP, Xenia, etc) that was constantly in need of maintenance, got rid of the sand and all is groovie.
Had a 25g softie reef that was bare botttom and kept having diatome probs and algae ggroowth, dropped in 15 pounds of sand all all well there.
Just...
No worries, and welcome to NJRC.
We're always interested in helping those in the hobby and we're often restocking each other post disasters.
Sorry if my doubts are offensive, but we've seen a number of folks who sign up and immediately post for equipment.
(Just got your PM)
Lets see how it works...
Dude! Sorry to hear.
Had the same problem and my 65 and 90 had to go.
BUT, a 25g IM shallow reef, with softies, a small few non-demanding SPS, and a couple of fish, takes me about 15 minutes a week for full maintenance, no dosing, no computer, no testing... just a 2.5g water and filter floss...
Hi Tom,
You've told us minimal about yourself and nothing of your location or your tank, but were quite specific on requests for equipment.
Before members begin donating any equipment, it would be in good faith to see some photos of the rescue effort, the damage, an article on the incident...
jka,
This is in the Pico Challenge thread.
This thread is to recommend and discuss pumps for these tanks (which, by the rules are 2.5g and under and do not have skimmers).

+ on that if you're going to move into corals and want them to survive.
You're going to need at least 3 more Kessils for the tank. A 12 foot (?) tank with 2 of them is not nearly enough unless corals are placed only within vicinity of the lights.
Softies (Palys, zoas, etc) need light as...
Ha! We'll SUE for COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT!
So, hush, we don't have a copyright, BUT we will pretend we do.
Don't think you can copyright stuff like this.
REGARDLESS!!!
If anyone asks any questions once the suit is launched, begin babbling, perhaps slip an AlkaSelter into your mouth (under cover)...

I think I'm going to go with the SG.
I've run a few BB with great flow and there always seems to be glass melding diatoms that I can't get to to scrape off.
That being said...
Ive started tanks BB and always ended up adding sand due to diatom build...
