Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Nice. I had to laugh a bit as you described the rock collapse. Been there (as I'm sure we all have). Was imagining the colorful language and soaked shirt as you attempted to limit damage. Good luck with the new sump.
Ill be heading to North Jersey on Saturday late morning and wont return to Beick until Sunday afternoon. Drop me a PM if you want me to drop off the ATO Sat morning.
Finally got around to it.

The official motto of the USCG is 'Semper Paratus', or, 'Always Ready', a fitting motto for a response service.
But, with the risks of operations, especially in those early days where we (they) would roll out in wooden longboats, and through a written piece of legislation stating the USCG 'HAD'...
Tigs,
Sorry, my bad, thought it was 60. It was primarily used on my 65g shallow reef (old tank) for a few weeks until I got a mandarin, then I removed it as I was afraid it would diminish the pod population in such a small tank. Didn't use in the 90. Seemed to work fine on the 65.
Russ,

Hi Trap,
Soz for late reply, but yeah, I do.
I was going to post pics a few days ago but photobucket was down.
I'll post a few build shots this weekend,
Back in my youth I had dreams of saving people in any way I could. I took the most direct route available and joined the Coast Guard. Upon testing, I qualified for aviation, and after boot camp in Cape May I was off to USCG Aviation Training Center North Carolina. Spent the better part of a year...
astrinas are generally harmless. i had loads in my tank with no ill effect. I got a harlequin not to control the population but more for the fact i wanted a harley.
With my transfer to a smaller tank Ive brought a few astrinas over with the rock. Also have a serpent star. The harley didn't make...
If you can see one, you have scores and you'll soon have tons of them, but you'll only see the odd few.
A harlequin will wipe them out over a week or 2 but it will prefer the larger stars.
Ive got some good live rock, approx 100#, including 2 very large pieces (see my slaes thread). I dont know if you have to get rid of your current rock in this situation. If you need it its yours, nc.
Sorry to hear. I've run salinity changes more drastic with no concerns. As Sunny said, heaters? Manually check with a termometer if you can (i do manual checks with my bbq thermo). Did dosers overrun? Something broken or shorted causing elec current? Did cuke die? I had a cuke die and had 12...
Timing is interesting. Last night I pulled out an old UV to put in the nano and it doesnt fit, so I'm heading out today to buy a biocube unit.
So, I have a Green Machine I was running on a previous tank. While running on that tank I never had any concerns with algae. The water was crystal. I...
I think I'm a nano guy. As good as the 90 looked there was just too much space to work with. I wasn't enjoying it at all and there were more than a few times I was debating on leaving the hobby.
The nano is the best thing I've done. Glad I picked one up as opposed to washing my hands of the...
