Drinking stories shall continue.
ATM I'm deciding wat I want to downgrade to. Trying to find a used IM Nuvo 20 or 25 lagoon. May have to buy a stand or get one built. I'm probably going to keep the mated clowns and a few softies. Once thats decided and some action taken, which may be a couple...
Thanks all. Trio, appreciate the offer, but the move is still in the 'lets start looking at houses soon' mode. Tigs, if I do sell the clowns, they're a mated pair.
Was planning on keeping the 10g nano I have but if I can find a deal on a Biocube or sell the 90 to cover the cost of a 28g Biocube...
My 90 is doing great. Just put in a new RK Lite, the new Razor 48" light, a McCosker Wrasse 6 weeks ago, a long tentacle purple anem 2 months back, a few corals from Sunny and Horse.
But it's been a struggle over the past few months maintaining the tank. Kindergarten and sports started, I've...
I had aome a while ago, think i gave them back to Kev, but i'll check.
Also, bringing many bags of Cheto, Kato, Cheetos, or however the heck you pronounce it.
Not going to hurt to increase waterline above the pump. Just be sure that during a power loss the sump has enough space to contain the overflow. Shifting the pump slightly or putting a rubber mat under it may help. You can find 6"x6" sheets of gasket rubber in the 'orange' or 'blue' home stores...
Overly expensive tank, 5 'packs' of salt for a 6 month supply (a water change once a month?), no cycle, 13 gallon volume, 3 fish, mixed corals, marketed to beginners.
I figure that in 2 months, if they sell 100 tanks, there will be 300 dead fish, 400 dead corals, and 100 Fluval tanks on...
I've had an idea thats going to revolutionize the hobby - 'Aquarist's Scrub'.
It's a 5" long piece of plastic, about 1/4" thick, sort of like a popsicle stick. At one end there is a group of nylon bristles.
It is used to scrub things like calcium deposits or algae off other things.
It does...
All preference. If you're going to be keeping LPS and SPS corals eventually you're probably going to have to begin dosing. Personally I use Red Sea Pro, a bit more expensive but it's high in elements so I don't have to dose Alk or Ca as much and never dose Mg.
I've varied once or twice but came...
I think Paul B had a post regarding this. He rigged a gfi switch somehow. I dont recall the specific details but I'm sure there's a supermodel involved. Im posting via my phone right now or I would do a search.
Sorry Edwin, didn't get your mail till afterwards.
I bought one of these...

So, asked my wife to help with a water change. She dumped a bucket directly over a Hydra 26. It now does not work. I've cleaned it and am letting it sit for the night in hopes it will work tomorrow.
But, if not, I'll be in emergency find a light mode.
IF this happens:
If anyone is looking to...
