Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
So I guess it's time for an update.
We have carpet samples, that's the good news.
The bad news is the colors under consideration will definitely require repainting all of the rooms involved. (So my wife tells me) ::)
I have a vacation week coming up, but I've got a feeling I'm not getting any...
Had two and loved them; but they jumped out to escape the purple tank when he was added.
Not shore if they shoal. Mine had separate spots and hid a lot even before the tank. They were the sole fish inhabitants in the tank for several months.
Re: My Oceanic Tech 120 and a request for input.
I had one on a Mag 18 for a closed loop and seemed to produce a lot of head loss.
I have one on a Mag 7 return with similar results.
A lot of folks have Sea Swirls that may want to chime in. More expensive than SCWD's but I believe they are...
Re: My Oceanic Tech 120 and a request for input.
Sounds great!
Glad your wife is supportive since my name is so closely linked to the virus. ;)
If the crawl space is more difficult to access,if you are like me, your maintenance schedule will suffer. I clean my topoff barrel every couple of...
I just took my 46 bowfront down.
As we plan the stocking list for the 180 reef, Cindy keeps pointing to big beautiful angels. So there will probably be another one in my future. ;)
So has anyone else given it a try?
John, has the improvement continued to hold?
I'll be needing to do a better job of glass maintenance once the main tank is in the living room. ::)
Depends what you are keeping. If it's SPS or most softies, no.
If it's mostly LPS, well.......
I run my 75 with a whopping steady 600gph and alternating MJ1200's. One MJ 1200 is on for 1 minute and off for 3 and the other is on for 1 minute and off for 4.
So most of the time its 600gph...
Pretty amazing! Let me know how it works out. You supply the reef and tunnel and I'll fix you up with a train. ;) Got to measure first because 2" is a little tight for "S". Can we go 3"?
Not to worry Barry. I won't be neglecting my reef and I also won't be going "O" its just too big.
I'll be sticking with my "S" gauge. Of course Mongoose has been trying to drag me over to the "N" gauge side of the fence. :)
Good luck with the new tank Kat.
I'm sorry for your fish loss.
Of course I'm probably the only one who also grieves for the loss of all those tiny, fascinating creatures that lived in your sandbed! ;)
Pretty scary thought, but I've spent a lot of time on train sites lately.
When the 180 goes up and if I retire everything else but the 55, I've found room for a 10'x10' layout.
I've actually made a first cut track plan for it!
