    As long as you keep the power heads on and the air stone on you will not have a problem for a couple days not running the sump... You can always pick up one of these under your skimmer to raise it up and get it performing right...

    When I was getting water from trop I used to get (6) 5 gallon jugs at a time and was doing 5 gallon water change a week so I had salt water sit for 6 weeks and never had a problem just make sure you mix it good before use cause there was always some settlement on the bottom of the jugs..
