To me, PVC is a much more dependable method of plumbing. Solvent welded fittings are much more reliable then barbed fittings and hose clamps. Plus, the barb fittings significantly reduce the flow. Clear tubing will also build up algae. I've never considered bacteria though.

If I wasn't a diy'er, I'd probably get a MTC. Seen first hand and my rank in quality MTC, Geo, MRC, then all the rest. Contact Steve68 for more info on MTC as well. He's had one running for quite some time.

I agree you were very fortunate. The moral of the story for everyone is to always check that your ship to address is correct on the paypal page. "Old" address in paypal orders have caused me headache's on more then one occasion. Fortunately, the stuff I ship won't die. ;)
