Probably a dumb question. Should i take back the gravel siphon that i bought? i originally was going to buy crushed coral but got live sand. it's a 15" Marine brand i believe..

I got all my lace rock and live rock from Pet Kare 1 FoxRun plaza, Bear Delaware.. I have two LFS but one is not the greatest and the other one. the owners are at a convention in Florida for the store so they have very little stock at the moment. I got the last pieces of live rock with the coral...

have you tried turning on moon lights or a flashlight at night? i read that you should "stake out" in front of the tank at night b/c there are many things that could have hitched a ride into your tank and are nocturnal. could be very difficult to find during the day and possibly cause your problem.
are there any models that are recommended? i don't think that i will be doing any hard corals based on what i have heard.. this tank is more of a starter tank and my first experience with saltwater.
the air stone is already gone and the scuba guy is just for S&G and set to very long intervals.
