ITEM3 - UV is a blessing in FOWLR. In QT you can treat with chemicals. I have a Aqua UV in my reef for 6 months and I see not ill effects. EA is a good UV as well.

    In market for new fish

No fish is reef safe. Even tangs can turn on corals. Wrasses can eat snails. I have zoster butterflies sold as reef safe and they love SPS :)

Pair of Australian Zoster (Pyramid) Butterfly FS - Monroe - 08831

Paul It will be too small IMHO. I love these guys and so does my wife. You know her, she does not comment a lot on this hobby. So it is specially hard to part off with these. I am almost thinking to setup a FOWLR myself .... Sunny

    Sunny's 350G build (was 150)

Sorry folks, I have been very busy with work lately and was also under the weather for a couple of days. NP Tri, all topics are open here. I actually experimented with a few combinations of T5. I liked the blue plus with Fiji Purple the best. ATI purple plus is supposedly the same wavelength...

Pair of Australian Zoster (Pyramid) Butterfly FS - Monroe - 08831

I have had these guys for almost a year now. Eat everything from frozen to nori. They also pick at zoas and unfortunately SPS polyps (reason they are for sale). So much for the safest reef butterfly fish :( Beautiful fish but NOT REEF SAFE. $140 for the pair. They are between 4 - 5 inches...
