Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Red Sea has recently announced two new dosers - a 2 head and a 4 head (Red Sea ReefDose 2 & ReefDose 4 Available Next Month | Reef Builders | The Reef and Saltwater Aquarium Blog).
I've been waiting for the Versa dosers to become available again - they've been in very short supply for way...
Where in North Jersey are you? And how much rock are you looking for? (Or, more correctly phrased, what size tank are you looking to fill?)
My excess rock came out of the oceans (not some bag of cement) and most of it is 15 to 20 years old. My system is disease free at the moment. Any rock...
I'm currently running three Kessil 360Xs on my DT with the Kessil dongle. Allowing my Apex to control both their intensity AND their color would be nice, but I'm not especially interested in buying any new modules or upgrading my existing (Lite) controller to the latest controller version. All...
How expensive or inexpensive is your second hobby compared to your reefs? My second hobby is keeping Poison Dart Frogs. But maintaining feeder cultures of wingless Heidei fruit flies isn't especially demanding or expensive.
I'm using the ESV Two Part. I'm waiting for the Tropic Marin One Part to become available in bulk so I can check the reviews on it
The ESV Two Part is currently making me a little nuts. The Calcium half of the Two Part supposedly also has Magnesium in the mix in a proper ratio to the Calcium...

Thank you for that enlightening link! My high school recollection of cells is that they only have a single nucleus. It is counter intuitive me that you can take a long piece of Caulerpa, cut it into ten pieces, and be left with ten cells. Live and learn...
Valonia (Bubble Algae) happens to be one of the largest known unicellular organisms. But, Valonia is NOT Caulerpa. If you don't mind, I'd like to know which Caulerpas are single celled plants.
Adding some more Chaeto info. Jake Adams posted this two days ago on reef builders:
Chaetomorpha Strains are Much More Different Than We Ever Knew | Reef Builders | The Reef and Saltwater Aquarium Blog
It is an interesting comparison of "Brillo Chaeto" and "Fine Chaeto". Read it and don't get...

I have a collection of live rock that you can have gratis. Just bring buckets. I can guarantee that is has Asterina Stars, and maybe even some aiptasia.
I can't vouch for the origin of the rock - twenty-odd years ago I decided to set up a big tank (180) and I bought rock from people bailing...
This is Poppycock, and not at all true. You need to factor in the reality that Chaeto is not going to "go sexual" on you. If you keep using Grape Caulerpa, some day you'll be waking up to a tank with milky white water. Keep a 90 percent water change on stand-by. I know from whence I speak -...
