    Chemicals are released trapped in air that forms below th surface. once removed this is not an issue any longer. however I have wondered much like live rock if there is a die off of some sorts when taken out.

    so you have softies in your tank would say 4 54 watt t5's be enough for most of them? one more question on parameters you said as clean asI can get it. I meant as a reef tank with calcium mag. ph. salt.

    Is lighting an issue? do you run a sump or would a canister with spray bar be enough. with that small a flow do you deal with algae problems at all? run a phos. reactor? what else can you put in the tank that wont hurt them. too many questions? sorry

    my daughter has been after me to set up a seahorse tank for a long time. do you set it up with live rock and a sump the same as areef tank? what is the flow rate ? parameters etc.

    I thought that at first but it comes out of a small tube and I don't think spaghetti worms do and yes they do retract

    I have these tubes growing out of my rocks and every once in awhile long webs come out of them I'm talkinking like a foot long at times. anyone know what this is? If image is not good enough I could do better.

    thanks malulu that's my fixture also I love it my tank is 24" high and get plenty of penetration I would like to see your tank but I don't even know where that is

    ok so it took awhile but final tally lost the clam I bought at swap 1 cleaner shrimp pulsing Xenia from swap this was growing fast and pulsed strong I'd like to replace it and the clam. already got new shrimp.

    4- 96 watt actinics 3- 150 10k halides. I think I'm going to stay with the whiter 10k. thanks for the reply

    I thought of another question since my fixture has 3 150 bulbs has anyone ever put different bulb k's in the same fixture or do you think that would look funny? maybe the same ones at the ends and different in the middle?
