The tank is 10 gallon IM Fusion AIO. Skimmer only. I don't have coral at this time. Tank is FOWLR. Didn't want to get involved with it when we are looking to move and my 180 is still sitting dry waiting for our next house. Those that remember me from a long time ago, my 180 was SPS heavy...
Everyone in the hobby always preaches the importance of water changes. So how is it that I have not done a water change since early August 2018 and my tank is thriving? In mid-2018 my tank was horrible. Algae everywhere, Red Slime....just could never get it looking good. I did a water change...
This was too funny Paul! I'm a diver as well. Learned here in NJ. And you are right....if you can dive here, you can dive anywhere! Cold, Dark, and can't see :) Best I've had was 40 feet vis. But I do love it here. The history of all the wrecks is great. Caribbean diving is like diving...
I have received many CUC packs from Reef Cleaners. Sure there is 1 or 2 DOA, but most are good to go. I even received a shipment a month or two ago when it was freezing out. Everything survived. And he usually includes extras.
Haven't had a piece of coral in probably 6+ years. Anyone have any inexpensive SPS frags?
Purple Bonsai
Red Tabling Acro
Orange Monti Cap
Green Slimer
But any would be awesome.
Switch to Reef Crystals also by instant Ocean. It has more of the stuff that corals use to grow and thrive than standard Instant Ocean. Usually can find a 200 Gallon box on sale for around $45
Great news that they are cleared up, but that just means the fell off in order to multiply and have more ich babies. It is definitely still there. Personally I would get all the fish out of your main tank and run hypo in the QT while allowing the 76-80 days for the ich to die off in the Display.
