Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
That first link is to the D40, rather than the D40X. The (subtle, and possibly not necessary) difference is that the D40X is a 10mp camera over the 40 which is a 6mp cam. Good prices for a great entry level camera (by the time you need 10mp, you're going to want the flexibility, sturdiness and...
D40 is a good camera and the lenses you get will grow with you for when you're ready for the D300 (or 400, if that's what it is by then)! You can get one on B&H Photovideo with a couple of lenses too. The one thing that will control the "high speed images" more than the body you get is the...
Mushrooms don't move as quickly as anemones unless they aren't tacked down (and then it would be more like blowing around than moving). How much moving is this doing? Moving makes it sound like an anemone.
C'mon... where are those submissions? We only have a few more days left before the contest begins and so far we don't have very many entries... Let's get snapping! I saw lots of cameras yesterday, so I know they're out there.

Either way is fine, but don't put them under too intense lighting right away without acclimating them, or they'll probably burn out. I like the way the cap looks when it grows out in place as it takes on the shape of the rock and grows around it. So I'd put it in my tank right away and let it...
We have ours plumbed into our house waste lines. We throw a couple of ball valves and it pumps the waste water right into the sewer system. Throw those back, hit a switch and it refills the sump.
I learned that there was dust (about 4 pieces) on my camera's sensor! When I started playing with the F-45 setting I found these green looking specks in my pictures. I cleaned the front lens and tried again. Still there. Cleaned the back part of the lens. The dust was still there. Double checked...
Billy has a 24GB video, Brian snapped some pictures, my camera didn't leave the bag... I know we had a lot of budding photogs there. Not sure how many captured the moments! Hopefully we'll get some folks posting up some pictures tonight! I'll need some for the home page as well!
