This is one fish that should never be purchased wild caught at this point. It is just completely irresponsible. Good for you all to be purchasing the tank raised variety. Hopefully it will hit the endangered list soon so that it can stop being overfished.

As Mike said, we've collectively purchased about 20 AC JRs, 4-6 ACIIIs and 3 ACPros in the last 9mo. I don't know anyone from the club who has another brand of controller. We have 2 ACJrs and an ACII on our various tanks. The club does a PA group buy in January that gives us a 15% discount, so...

It can. It does grow much faster than chaeto, so you'll need to prune it more often.

You definitely need light for them to grow. Doesn't have to be anything fancy or high wattage, but you need light. Think "Plants".

Ours dry thoroughly before they hit tank water again. We have so many sets that this has never been an issue. The chlorine in the bleach dissipates by the time they're dry.
