Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Here is how to order NJRC T-shirts for October 2016.
Cost of Tee shirts will be $12. You can choose size (I will assume mens sizes unless otherwise specified), color (Light blue or Grey) and whether you want to pick up at meetings or have them mailed. If you want them mailed, add $3 to the cost...
I contacted ShoreTees and they still haven't contacted me back like they said, so I went to another shop, DependabiliTees in Howell.
Cost of Tee shirts will be $12 (actually cost is slightly above based on 10-30 shirts as I don't expect 50 shirts this time). You can choose size (I will assume...
I contacted the person who made the t-shirts last time. He (James Abbot) was out of town until today and will get back to me. I asked him about was the possibility of getting shirts mailed out for people who live far away (Mark mentioned he still has some) and may not be attending upcoming...
Sounds good. I will see if the cost is the same and then post info when ready. I will use some of NJtiger 24 aquariums' ACC photos for discussion with the printers.
I am willing to "grab the reigns, collect the money and info, and set up with the shirt printer" if you are willing to "produce the files and mail them to myself or directly to my chosen shop". This way they will have a consistent look to them. I am assuming that making T-shirts from the JPEG...
I am looking forward to it also. It will be nice to meet other Jackson reef hobbyists as well.
And this time I found and used the RSVP pulldown on the right of the gray area below the Upcoming Occurrences line. I mention this as I don't think I did this for Anthony's and other new members may...
Here is my 65 Gallon mixed reef tank that is about 9 months old. I am more interested in learning about a reef life than maintaining a show display tank at this point.
I learned a lot: Don't put rocks too close to the glass; Don't make a solid rock wall. Place aquarium where you can access and...
I would like to go to the Long Island Aquarium, especially if there was a behind the scene tour.
On August 1st, I mentioned that with 2 weeks notice, Jenkinson's Aquarium in Point pleasant could arrange a behind the scenes tour with one of their aquarists. They offer others as well. The cost...
You can always use the "search" at the top right of the page (which I am using more and more myself) or you can go to your profile and view your post. At the bottom you click the links for items you might not see.
I got it now. When I hit my user name on the top line, or when I hit my avatar, I...
OK, I found it. I didn't look in the sticky threads. Also, as a thought. Would it be reasonable to link a full tank shot to a person's (members) name which could be updated or replaced over time.
Is there a way to see messages you have posted on? For instance, if this thread hasn't been active for several days and I wanted to find it but don't know what forum it is on, if I looked on a list of my messages, then I could find it there. In my case, I wanted to find the thread where people...
Thank you Anthony for hosting the meeting and everyone I spoke with. I loved the blue NJRC t-shirts. I think they were a great idea and helped me figure out who some people were. This is especially nice for me where I have difficulty remembering names. I found out that not too many of us were...
It is pretty nice, but I probably would have had to have added it first. Tropiquarium has a nice purple tile fish, but it would be too big. I kind of like the idea of keeping more small fish in a large aquarium with lots of hiding places so I can pair the fish up but keep it peaceful.
Hello,
My name is Mark Shelly. I was born and raised in New Mexico, but went into the Army after high school and graduated as a Mechanical Engineer from Rutgers. There were 2 jobs I thought would be the best possible jobs. One was building mechanical dinosaurs. The other was building fish...
I plan on attending and bringing my membership application. As it will be my first, any guidance on what to bring would be appreciated. I am looking forward to meeting people interested in reef tanks as well as seeing actual tanks in person.
