The only reason I am seperating the 2 tanks is in case of failure. I would still have flow through the sump and 1 of the tanks if one ever failed. Steve68 was the one that suggested to feed the skimmer off the return pump.

Thanks John, do you think I'll need that much flow? The display tank will be a 80 gallon bow with 1 corner overflow, 2) 1/2" outlets and 1) 1 1/2" drain the bulkheads are 1 1/4" drain and 1" return. I used the chart on reef central and it said the mag 18 would give me a 750 gph flow rate at 13'...

You could try the remora nano it's good for tanks 5-25 gal

Sorry for being a pain with this... I'm new to the world of reactors Here is tonights readings cal= 410 alk= 10.6 mag= 1290 ph in reactor = 6.9 What caused my alk to drop?

I ment a drop from 1230 - 1200 seems like a lot, I have been adding a full 16oz cup the past few nights, first night the reading was 1200 added 16oz next night was 1230 added another 16oz then the following night I got 1200 tested twice to be sure. ???

It seems like the cal and mag dropped a lot over night. Is that normal? It's a 120 with 30 gal sump.

Slow down the bubbles for the co2 right? If I hook up a controller can I just set and forget that part? I do have a sms 122 controller but I use it to monitor the tanks PH.

the perfecto 265 is the biggest retail tank on the market, but if you contact perfecto and oceanic they do make custom size tanks

;D How'd you know LOL ..... I got the IO on special when I setup the tank, I only have a little left once that's gone I'm going back to reef crystals... I might even try the trop marin pro if I can get a good deal on it.
