Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
The guys at the Ritz Camera in Freehold are great. They have one guy in the store that's a Nikon user and the other one is a Canon user so you'll probably get a good balance of information. They're both professional photographers as well.
A few from me:

What exactly is he pointing to here?
Exactly WHAT is Rich showing us?
Bill, our Mg is UP TO 1130 as of last night. We've got pleny of dry mag to make the mix up (which is what we're using), but THANKS so much for the offer to mix some up for us. Ca is pretty well stuck at 380 (hopefully it will climb with the mag). dKH is 11.2 last night, usually rides a little...
Not true, Tom. There is an on-board flash as well as the ability to add a flash:
Built-in Flash: Yes (Auto flash with auto pop-up P/S/A/M: Manual pop-up with button release)
Not that I'm trying to sell you on the Nikon or anything! LOL!
You could also go into a Ritz Camera store and hold both...
That's not the MODEL number, but rather BJs number for it. You're going to need to compare actual product name and what's included: Digital Rebel on eBay
I'd prefer to shop with a reputable dealer though, since it really is quite an investment.
Here's a direct comparison
DP Review Conclusion
That Nikon is a great deal. The cool thing about having a Nikon is that with so many other Nikon users in the club we've done a lot of try-it-before-you-buy-it with lenses at meetings. You'll be able to try a variety of Macro lenses and decide which one you want to dump your dough on.
Also if...
Psst... it's a Canon
I'd prefer this one: D40
The lens that comes with it will be fine for general use, but you'll need a Macro lens to get REALLY good photos with either camera.
105mm for Nikon
60mm for Nikon (Merv likes this over the 105)
Sigma Brand 60mm for Nikon
Looks good! I knew it wouldn't be long before you'd be back ;)
FWIW, we had a scwd on our 65 for a while. We needed a mag9 to do the same turnover that we get with a Mag7 without it. I really just didn't like it. I also felt like it was diminishing its ability over time. Not a big fan of them...

Pete, yes, they are Merletti and the club does have a few frags left.
Just got some new Welsi's yesterday. They're a beautiful green color. I'm really hoping they hold their green! They're just stunning! Need to snap some pictures.
I'd find a nice complementary gray color and use that to "antique" the whole piece. Glob on lots of paint and wipe it all off except what falls in the valleys and hard to get spots. That should pull it all together.

This may sound like the statement of the obvious, but better safe than sorry... If you drill the tank in the center, you need to make sure that you're using stand pipes to reach up to the top line of the tank so that your water level is near the top where it belongs.
