Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
We added a juvi to a 5-6yo GSM and had great success. We also tried adding a juvi to what used to be a male (but we were fairly certain had been alone long enough to have become Female. We had to pull the juvi out of that tank.
My advice would be to hang the juvi in a specimen tank on the side...
Re: APRIL Meeting: Sunday April 22nd in Washington, NJ
Please make sure to RSVP in this thread if you're going to be attending the meeting so that we can keep the list up to date!
We've got lots of great stuff headed up to NY. We'll come home with either frags we traded or cash, so there's a good chance we'll come home with stuff too. We're hoping to bring some stuff home that we don't already have a ton of here in NJ.
I'd rather not sell from the current stock until...
The water level in our bucket is much higher than our sump. We pipe into a pvc stack that has multiple feeds to it. The top of that pvc stack is open so there's an air break. The PVC pipe is much larger than the feed/flow from the pump so the siphon break is natural. Take a look at the white...
For our systems we have the outlet of the hose above the water line in the "bucket". If gravity can get to it, it will continue to carry the water down.

Happy Easter all. Hope everyone had a wonderful day! We had a nice day with family (read: cooked and cleaned all day) and are READY to relax. This bunny's a tired one now.
Happy Birthday, Mynd. Hope it was a great one.
The eggs are usually on a wall or rock surface near by. The male will protect them with a passion. They're bright orange for the first 2 days or so and then turn silver. They hatch usually about 14d after they're put down. Good luck if that's the case!
It is possible that they hurt the anemone. They can definintely "love it to death", unfortunately. I've seen it happen first hand if the anemone isn't quite big enough for them. Funny that they've made that spot home, and not the anemone. My maroon made a huge mess of the sand regularly (when...
Some coctail shrimp (1-2) in there will help keep the bacteria alive until you're ready for it, as long as you're not in need of the water that it is in. If you want to preserve the water then you'll need to feed the rock "enough", whatever that is! LOL!
We've been through that several times. Once again recently. One time the baby wandered under the rocks where it began to whither and it wouldn't come out into the light. We ended up having to pull it out of the tank before it went all together.
That one didn't make it.
The newest addition to...
NY Aquarium is also a very nice aquarium. I liked it better than Camden, but not as much as Baltimore. And probably just as close to you as (closer than?) Camden.
