    I think you should be able to have 3 of them. Yellow, naso, and one of the two others. I think the biggest problem (literally will be the Achilles). Too similar genetically and shape wise to whitecheek. Also they are two of the less hardy tangs. Hippo tang is also different from yellow/naso...

    I have always used a 24 G AP for my qt I had two tangs at that size they are fine...I think they are in about a 20G tank at ACC.

    If it is temporary it could be that something is pestering it like say an angel fish. How large is it? Do you spot feed it phyto?

    Even a 40 gallon tank would work for your QT if they have limit on size for the $1 sale.

    Did you ask if the sump was included, seemed like everything else from skimmer, light, stand was maybe you will get that too if you are lucky?

    One question I just don't know the answer to, isn't 1.008-9 below the 1.010-12 area used for hyposalinity for ich? What is the long term damage for the fish at such low levels, assuming they are not all mollies or something, I do know that some bodily functions are more stressful at hypo levels...

    Great article...very well written and some good information. Certainly would be good to always test your water that comes with your fish even from a fish store you trust.

    Yes to the lobster. Shouldn't be the serpent star(if a brittle sea star than yes to that one too). Did you check overflows, behind the tank, etc?

    I PMd you but since you guys are harping on it ... I have never as far as I know met spotter there is no "click" on my side. My opinion yes and I happen to agree with him but that is as far as it goes.

    Again Dan sorry for your problems but there could be someone who doesn't realize the issue or know enough to deal with it. jgraz..putting items in QT is good practice if you wish to ignore it that is your choice.
