Thanks Kevin. Think that 5500 will do just fine. Looks super adjustable. One (maybe) very dumb question though. The description says this: The vast majority of circulation pumps available to hobbyist are alternating current "AC" pumps (the type of power that comes out of your wall outlet)....
Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I've been looking them up and I have to say the Water Blaster and Diablo DC both look interesting. I didn't see on either description if they were both submersible though. Anyone know?
Hey guys, I am helping someone set up a 265 gallon tank (7'x2'x30"). I am going to build the sump this weekend and I am looking for advice on which return pump to use. I dislike Mags so I am looking to avoid them. It's going to be an African Cichlid tank (boooo, I know) so I don't need the crazy...
John! Welcome back buddy!! Wish I still had some of those great Z's and P's I got from you years ago to share back to you but I am tankless now. Can't wait to see the new set up!
Hey Justin, I am in the (very long) process of setting up a 120g planted tank. The kind of tank you are talking about isn't that hard at all if you choose the right plants and equipment. I am on a great local forum for planted tanks. It's a lot like this club but not as busy as it is here...
I have a Nikon Coolpix and the macro mode on that took some great shots when I had my reef running. More than adequate for some great pics and it won me a few photo of the month contests too. Honestly, it's not easy to tell the difference between some pics I have taken and ones that are taken...
Hugely busy month for me but if we are hanging with Feng, I will make time. Pretty sure CJ would too. We have both been wanting to stop in for a while

As you get to know Feng, things get cheaper and cheaper lol. He will gladly hang out and talk your ear off too so it isn't hard to get to know him. Cash always seems to make things easier to make a deal with too. David is right, Feng will make it very hard on you to walk out empty handed. Feng...
Have you guys ever tried Chameleons? I have kept, and bred....I think 5 different species. My favorite by far were the Veiled Chameleons. Panthers were a lot of fun too but for the nicer varieties, they can get pricey. Same thing, if I can offer any advice you may need, feel free to PM me.
If you are thinking Dart Frogs, I would look at Mantellas. Easier to keep from my experience. Another good choice if you want something different is Red-Eye Leaf Frogs. I had a pair a while back that was very hardy and even bred a few times. If you haven't kept frogs, I would stay away from...
Someone already mentioned Power Worms. I also love top water action and nothing beats a Tiny Torpedo for me. I also love smaller sized Slug-gos. Amazing action.
I just helped my roommate Cj break down and move his tank when he moved a couple moths ago. It was a long weekend of work and we had a 75g tank set up at the new house where everything was stored while we tore down and rebuilt the tank. He changed it quite a bit and I have to say the tank is...
I heard from AJ that you are getting out. Sorry to see it happen but I can say I 100% understand! Glad you passed the Harlies along, I loved those guys. Best of luck to you and the wifey. Buy a house and I will help you set up the rock right the first time!;)
Yes! Will definitely come to the meeting. Will be good to see everyone again! Don't know that I will be able to make it up there before then though. Will call if I can.
I don't like your recent update. Now I miss having a tank....
It is looking absolutely amazing guys. It's good to see such a well thought out plan come to fruition. You have put a ton of planning and work into it an it shows!
