Since we're talking TV... LOST anyone?

I realize she shouldn't be waddling around yet or showing lol but I just meant that it's never been mentioned again that I recall in ages, and with the whole reveal of every woman who gets pregnant on the island dying yesterday it made me wonder.

    Vacation?

Hi Mike You're wonderful (as always), I'll let you know for sure when we figure out when we're going... not for a couple weeks I don't think :) Every other day would probably be fine I think my friend can help out too (but would like if someone with experience peeked in too obviously) Now who...

    Vacation?

Phyllis: I didn't even think of a pet sitter (simply because we never even needed to think about that before)... good idea in case I can't find anyone else, does anyone have a sitting service they've used before? I get sort of nervous thinking about strangers being in my house.

    Vacation?

The 50g is the only one I ever really need to top off, and even that one isn't to bad... I think if I lowered my light schedule while we were gone I wouldn't have much issue... and whomever I get to come in could pour a bit of water in. The aquapod I really never top off (closed top). Feeding is...

    Vacation?

What do you do with your tanks when you go on vacation? When we lived at "home" (MI) I had plenty of family and friends that I trusted to care for my tanks (my mom, bless her... would even catch the snails for my puffer and feed him). My husband wants to go back to MI to visit for about a...

What part of nano keeping do you find most difficult?

    >:( yeah stop hijacking my thread LOL totally kidding ;D I'm the one who mentioned the nimble, I apprecaite you posting the link since I was to busy to find it when I posted. Also still fits the topic "what is difficult?" waiting for your nimble LOL So another thing I find difficult, when a...

    New Biocube 14

My temps go from 78 to 80, no issues... although swapping out pumps is usually a good thing if you haven't yet. Where did you get your rock & sand, if you used cured rock and LS there is a chance you didn't get a cycle... anything alive in there hitchhiker wise?

What part of nano keeping do you find most difficult?

Almost forgot, for glass cleaning I use a "nano nimble" (I think that's what he calls them)... anyways a guy on nano-reef.com makes very strong but extremely small glass cleaners, only down side is they don't float (but of course anyone with a nano knows the importance of those long tweezers...

    what's your stocking?

What size is your tank, and who inhabits it? My 24g is full of softies/LPS. Fish wish I have one clown, one purple firefish, one 6 line wrasse (model citizen), and a tiny green banded goby (was my first SW fish, lived in my 5g nano, survived the move from MI). Inverts are snails, hermits, and a...

What part of nano keeping do you find most difficult?

I hear you on those brownish ones, I have some sort of pink sort of brown ones that were my first zoas... I took out the bigger rock with them on it (and it's in my refugee 50g) and boxed in the others with a hammer ::evil laugh:: The teals on the other side are going to win though if I don't do...

    New 4 gallon Nano!

Depending how much sand/rock you put in you might not even see a cycle... just test in a few days and go from there. I'm thinking of setting up a 5g for a pompom/boxing crab... very neat little critters. I also think the little sexy shrimp are neat. Then there are mantis tanks or goby/shrimp...

What part of nano keeping do you find most difficult?

For me it's dealing with coral growth. My 24g aquapod is really jammed pack with rocks and corals... everything is balanced just so. Which means if I need to get to something at the bottom I either can just forget it and leave it or I'm looking at a few hours of frustration as I pull everything...

    What size Nano?

I have a 24g aquapod reef (my favorite tank). Just started up a 30g oceanic cube for my new green spotted puffer (FOWLR) My other SW tank is a 50g "reef" (few corals only) Oh and I forgot to vote for my 3g... it's a refugee camp for the little crab I found in my aquapod and I have some cheato...

I was going to suggest 30g and under, I think some of the clubs members would consider anything under 100g a nano LOL

    yippie a nano forum!

Thank you to the "powers that be" for creating this space, my favorite tank is my 24g aquapod... for a newbie on a budget it was the perfect blend of form & function. My tank has been set up since, hmm... mommy brain, let's just say last Summer. When I have a chance I'll go into some details...
